KEY WEST SPIRIT
On the beach at Blonville, Key West is a long lunch in the sun, aperitifs with your feet in the sand, or dinner watching the sun set over the sea.
You roll up your trousers, find a table, and watch the light on the Channel shift hour by hour, a few oysters, some seared octopus. You let yourself be carried by the moment, looked after by a team that makes you feel like you've been coming here for years. Then you order another glass, because it's too good, and you're not ready for it to end.
SUN-DRENCHED CUISINE FROM NEAR AND FAR
Local produce, flavours from elsewhere
Fresh fish from the coast, seasonal seafood, and a handful of spices and techniques Clarie has brought back from her travels through Asia and the Middle East — a Thai sauce on a beautiful piece of fish, mussels unlike any you've had before, razor clams on the plancha, and homemade desserts our regulars never fail to mention.
The menu is short, it shifts with the catch and the seasons, and every plate is honest, well-seasoned and generous. Key West is food that does you good — and will always surprise you, just a little.
FEET IN THE WATER
Blonville-sur-Mer, on the Normandy coast. Between Deauville and Cabourg, away from the noise, a terrace opening directly onto the beach. No road between you and the sea. No barriers. Just a good time with your feet in the sand, the sound and light of the Channel, golden hour sunsets or the salt spray of the Côte Fleurie.
